My 5g grandfather "appears out of nowhere" in 1737 at Falmouth, ME USA and marries Margaret McLellan. They move to Boston, MA and have 3 children (John, Samuel, and Elizabeth). My family were also Baptists. Usually religion doesn't seem to get mentioned in these posts, but maybe it can help make a connection.
