Things being slow.... Hugh Stuart WATT/WATTS, b. 1805 in a ship off the coast of Sandy Hook, NJ while his family was returning to Scotland from a visit to America. Hugh born and raised in Scotland, came to America with a brother around 1823 to 1827. Hugh married Rhoda DORSET (1807 to 1840) on July 29, 1827 in NY, NY. The family moved to Savannah, GA where both Hugh and Rhoda died. Their children were taken to NYC to be raised by their maternal grandmother, Maria Schenck DORSET. The children were John WATTS, b. 1831 NYC, m. Fannie M. MACDONALD, Henry WATTS, b. 1833 in NYC, and Catherine Maria WATTS, b. 1837 NYC, died 1929 in Kingston, NY?, m. Franklin ELDRIDGE.
