Married Ann Russell Jones on 24 Dec 1900 in St. Clair Co., Ill. 6 known children: Ida L. (may be adopted), b. ca 1900 John Easton, b. 13 Oct 1901, Belleville, Ill. (my husband's father) Ann Russell, b. 7 Aug 1904, Troy, Madison Co., Ill. Charles A., b. 6 Oct. 1906, Madison Co. James David, b. 28 Nov. 1909, Madison Co. Marshall, b. 2 Apr. 1912 Mother, Ann, died at birth of Marshall. John W. Watts died 7 Nov. 1918 in flu epidemic. John W's parents could have been John W. and Ann Stevens Watts.
