They made tintypes when I was a kid in the 1930's (street photographers). My Webster's dictionary says 'tintype' 1864 (ferrotype) and under 'ferrotype' it says 1844 - made on a thin iron plate. That would give you about a 100 year range - not very 'pinpointy'. Bill Watts
