It is published by the Jefferson County Historical and Genealogical Soc., Inc. William and Catherine Reed with Ethel, Ben, James, Ida & Mary - a family picture. Mary married Kenneth Chamberlain in 1925(this section was written by her and gives personal first person details). She had dau. Jean m. O. ?. Hastings with children Samuel, Hariet, Billie, Patti and Connie. Catherine m. Herbert Collins and had Herbert Jr., John, David and Mary. Edith Reed m. Edgar Reed(personal stories of family life given here.) ______ Frank A. Reed family He married Marie Smathers 6/16/1935. He is the son of Parker L. and Lethia Leora (Watt) Reed on was born in Perry Township.(other details are available.) Paternal grandparents were Tom and Barbara(Mauch) Reed. Maternal grandparents were Edward and Ella (Huffman) Watt of Coolspring and Braddock, Pa. Marie Smathers b. in Ringgold Twnp. dau. of Charles E. and Minnie B. (Dobson) Lingenfelter Smathers(other info. is given on her lineage as well.) Also gives listing of descendents and a wedding picture of Elmer Reed ________ J. Wallace Reed family From Philip Reed, then Calvin Reed m. Gertrude Perry - 10 children: Wayne George, Margaret, Maynie, Walter, Clarence, Mary, Merie, Alvin, and James(m. Edna Isabel Smith - further lineage given) This article was written, in first person by James Wallace Reed. ________ Samuel Reed family He was b. 1812 in Scotland, he and two brothers came over - one in Pittsburgh, the other traveled west. Samuel went to Coolspring, Pa.. He m. Margaret McKinstry and had William(1838-1908). It continues on with many decendents and families listed. Hope this helps somebody.
