Does anybody recognize this family? MARY DEWEESE, daughter of Joshua Deweese and Elizabeth New, was born in Kent Co., DE circa 1785 or a little later. She married ISRAEL WATTS in BUTLER CO., OH, 14 Nov 1809. It is believed she migrated to Butler Co., OH, from Monongalia VA(WV) about 1807, with her brothers, Samuel and James Deweese. >From Mikesells, Butler Co. OH Land Records, Vol. 1: 1803-1816 we find 2 deeds involving Israel Watts: 1813 - William REED & Rebecca, h/w to ISRAEL WATTS. (no S-T-R given); bound by land of Adam DICKEY.
