Moyra, I've been trying to find out the origin of the town of Watts also. My uncle and great uncle claim that one of our uncles or grandfathers started the town as a real estate development and it went downhill from there. However, I have yet to meet a Watts who didn't claim that their ancestor started Watts. And I can't find anything on the internet about where the name came from. I'd sure like to know. By the way, in school was anyone called a "Watts Riot" after the riot? We've sure had that problem. Karen Watts High
