Looking for info on David Watts from MO who m. Allie Debos (sp?). Moved to Muldrow, Sequoyah Co., OK. Had 2 children: Cecil (F) and Ernest (M). Cecil b. Muldrow, OK in 1889 and d. Ft. Smith AR in 1932. Cecil and Ernest were orphaned at an early age. Cecil m. William Otway BREEDLOVE of Muldrow and they produced 2 children--Besse and Wm. O., Jr. Cecil taught school in OK and became the first female Supt. of Schools before her untimely death in 1932. Ernest was younger than his sister, Cecil; he may have lived in New Orleans for a time during his adult life, and reportedly was a professional gambler.

For 60 pounds current money. 100 acres in Brumfield Parish ajoining the land whereon William WATTS now lives and is the land given by Thomas WATTS, deceased, to his daughter Esther, now the wife of Jeremiah WHITE ... houses, buildings, gardens, orchards, meadows, pastures. Jeremiah White Wit: Ben. Johnson, Abraham Buford, James Child 17 August 1772. Proved by Benjamin Johnson and Abraham Buford 16 November following. Proved by James Chiles [sic] Culpeper County Deed Book F (1769-1774), pp. 619-622. Thomas Watts married Esther but her maiden name has never been proven. Some say it was Stone and others Wilkins but both names are in doubt. There is another Thomas Watts and Esther Wilkins in another county in VA which could be the cause of confusion. The reference of Stone may come from Thomas's own will in which he mentions "the John Stone plantation". I have done some research in finding this John Stone without luck. This may have been the family who came from Maryland. If anyone else have proof, I would love to see it. Has anyone run onto a Rumsey Schuiler Watts? He was my husband's gggrandmother's husband. He married her after she had my husband's ggrandfather. Rumsey was born Dec. 15 1810. Married Elizabeth Dawson in 1833. Noeh was her sons name. Elizabeth was born in Bowling Green Ky. They moved from Ky to Al, Monroe County, in 1836, then to Mo. in 1844. I have searched several places and no mention of Rumsey. Another researcher has his war record. Actually would like to know who Elizabeth's father is and hoping if some info was found on Rumsey would find more on her.

I have very scant information on my Watts. Perhaps someone out there can help me. Cynthia A. Watts was born about 1830 in Kentucky, according to the census. She married William Asbury.
