Seeking info on John W. Watson; he married Julia WHITAKER 1860 in Grayson Co., TX. John Watson was listed as born in Alabama on Collin County and Grayson County census records 1850-1890. That is all I know of him; he first appears in 1850 Collin County census as 21 years old. He is said to have been born June 28, 1828; and died in 1909 in Grayson County. In 1870 census he is listed as born in Alabama and his father born in Alabama. According to some of the census records, he may have been in KY and/or MS at an early age, as they are also listed as place of birth. His son Dennis listed his father (John) as being born in Alabama.
