Do you know of any connection to a John Thomas Watson (1828-1910), also of Pittsylvania Co VA (m. first Anne Green Read 1836-1863; 2nd Sarah Edmunds Read, 1832-1921)? His children were: Charlotte Watson, b. 1858, George Alanson Watons, b. 1859, John Thomas Watson, Jr, b. 1861, (2nd marriage) Embra Scott Watson, b. 1868 and Clement Reade Watson, b. 1870.
