Hi Jean, I'm looking for a Benjamin, William or Thomas Watson from England or Scotland, but around the time period of 1770-1800. Here's the info: What we're not sure of the first two in our line, Ben and William: 1. Benjamin(GGGGGGGrandpaw), came ta James River, Va. Got land there 11-15-1774. 2. William(GGGGGGrandpaw), 3. Thomas(GGGGGrandpaw), 10-99 I gotta call from Henry Watson the third, he says they think our Thomas was orphaned 9-1782, dunno if William just left or died. Ben, his grandpaw raised him. Thomas was bonded out to Smithy Williams in 8-1780 and then to George Finley in 8-1782. Mrrd. Susan O'Sullivan in Va., she came from Ireland. They had 4. Jeptha P.(GGGGrandpaw), born 7-18-1819 or 1821 in Bath Co., Ky. Mrrd. Susan Rogers 7-18-1839 in Ky. Susan was born in 1823, she was the daughter of William Rogers who was the son of Susannah Smith who mrrd. John or Charles Rogers. She first appeared in the 1810 Estill Co., Ky. Census as head of the household. Several Rogers books have been compiled by Diane and Ellen Rogers about the "Rogers of Estill County and Related Families". Thomas Green(GGGrandpaw), born 3-12-1843, mrrd. Sarah Ann Patrick 9-25-1867. They had 6 children. 6. Hezekiah Franklin(GGrandpaw), born 6-5-1871 in Cobb Hill, Estill Co., Ky., He was known as HFK Watson, the alphabet Watson they called him. Mrrd. Francis Ellen Hatton 3-31-1896 in Stanton, Powell Co., Ky. They had 13 children. 7. Troy Mitchell(Grandpaw), born 5-22-1899 in Cobb Hill, Estill Co., Ky. He and Dad taught us how ta catch a skunk! Really, I got the pics! Mrrd. Lillie B. Patrick 8-22-1819 in Cobb Hill. They had 10 children. They resided on a large farm in California, Ky. We love that old farm ta this day :) 8. Bruce Edsel(Dad), born 9-25-1925 in Boyne City, Charlevoix Co., Mi. Grandpaw Troy had a temporary job there, all but 2 of Dad's siblings were born in Cobb Hill, Estill Co., Ky. The other 2 were born in Campbell Co., Ky. Mrrd. Imogene Lane on 9-30-1950 in Southgate, Campbell Co., Ky. They had 5 children. (I'm the oldest, hehehe) 9. and me, Carolyn Jean Watson :) Thanks, Carol
