We would like to share information on this family. Jean's grandmother was Amanda Jane Watson b. 1862 (Mills Co., & Shelby Co. Iowa) daughter of Constantine Smith Watson b. 1832 and Margaret McGee (Clermont Co., Ohio) he was the son of Jonathan Watson b. abt. 1796 and Phoebe Elizabeth Smith (Fleming Co., Kty and Clermont Co., Ohio) His parents were William (or Isaac) Watson b. abt 1755-59 and md. Elizabeth Jones. William is believed to have been born in England. Family tradition says that three brothers came to the United States together shortly after the Revolutionary War. The brothers were William (or Isaac), Jonathan, and Richard. Richard returned shortly to England. The maiden name of mother may be Vincent (family tradition again). William and Elizabeth's children: William, Isaac, George, Simpson, Abraham, Jonathan, Vincent, Jacob, Lottie, Polly, Sara, Nancy and Elizabeth. We would appreciate any information you might have.
