Hi Mark, I am researching a Catherine L. Watson (my ggrandmother) who married Jesse Nolan Fate in Lewis, Cass county, Iowa on October 14th, 1880. I haven't yet discovered much about her other than her name, nickname (Cassie), and the marriage date. They lived near Stennett, IA and then Red Oak, IA, where they both died at home. I believe both locations are in Montgomery county.
