While at the library today I took some notes on a few WATSON's.These were pioneers who travelled to Oregon. WILLIS H. b Latah, Washington 1888 April 13 educated in Illinois - children : WILLIS, ROBERT and KATHRYN WATSON, WILLIAM mentioned as the son of the founder of Aberdeen-Angus line of cattle. He selected cattle for W.S. LADD and Simeon REED in Oregon. WATSON, HARRY - a Postal Office was established in Watson, Oregon July 1898 and named for this person who was a local stockman. WATSON, CLAIR Built the WATSON Cabin in Douglas County, Oregon to prove his timber claim. WATSON, JAMES - In 1854 he took up a donation land claim in Douglas County, Oregon. This being at the base of a mountain which became Watson Mountain.
