Yesterday I discovered an index "19th Century Tennessee Church Records," by Sistler. In vol. 2 I found a marriage for Calley Watson, 1885 in Monroe County Tennessee. It referred to Monroe County, Madisonville Notchey Creek Baptist Church 1853 to 1927. I am need information about that marriage. Hopefully it will have a CATE(S) as the groom. Do any of you have access to that information? I am still looking for documented evidence that my great grandfather U. Riley Jonathan Cates, b. 1865, McMinn County, TN, d. 1931, Grayson County, TX. is a CATE related to Gideon Cate of Tennessee, b. 1800, d. 1878. The Calley Watson I am interested in is the daughter of Andrew Jackson Watson. So far the information I have is that Calley and Riley were married in Tennessee about 1885 and soon after moved to Texas. Take care, David
