Thanks so much for the information, Francis. It sounds like a good lead for me. Do you know of any other Watsons in Duplin Co.? Heres the information I have on Nancy Watson. Born: circa 1800-1810--source 1850 census. If the age given on that census is correct, she would have been born in 1803. This may be in conflict with your information on Bright Watson (they may not be related). Death: Probably 14, September, 1859. I went through the old Concord Baptist Church log book that listed its members and found a Nancy(Watson) Groves name and beside it was scrawled"dead--Sept. 14, 1859. That would explain why she did not appear on the 1860 census. Marriage Bond: Nancy Watson and William Kelly Groves (my line) October 23, 1835 in Duplin Co. Jas. Dickson was witness. She was age 47 and William Kelly Groves was age 35 at the 1850 census. I can find no evidence of children. The Concord Baptist Church minutes of 1843 list a Sara Maria Watson listed as baptized at the same time as Nancy Watson Groves. Do you know this Sara Maria Watson's parents?
