In reply to the subject post, There were several George Washington Watsons during the mid 1850's. One migrated out of North Carolina and in my family, George Washington Watson, son of Powhatan P. Watson was born in Buckingham Co. Va. and migrated to Chariton Missouri in 1838-39 with his parents. He is found in the 1850 census of Chariton Co. Mo. I have came across 2 or 3 others in my searching. Hope this helps.
