I've "rescued" an old photograph album which appears to have belonged to members of the REDMON and JAYNE or JAYNES Family of Indiana. Crutchfield Studio, North Vernon, IN, 1870s or 1880s, man in his 60s or 70s Based on limited research, I believe this is a photograph of Benjamin Franklin JAYNE b. 27 Mar 1827 in IN to parents Stephen JAYNE and Elizabeth WHITNEY. · Martha JAYNES Grandma JAYNES, H. Hysman Studio, Tipton, IN, 1880s, woman in her 40s or 50s, newspaper clipping about Mrs. B.F. JAYNE of Millersburg and her garden I did find Benjamin F. JAYNE and his wife Martha E. JAYNE living in Jackson, IN during the 1880 census. Benjamin was age 53, born in NY to NY born parents, Martha was age 44, born in KY and parents born in KY and VA respectively. Benjamin was a Minister of the Gospel. A daughter Leela Eva (I believe this is Louella JAYNE pictured in the next photo) JAYNE age 12, b. in IN, and a nephew, Oliver JAYNE age 34, a widow with a son Edgar P. JAYNE age 2 both born in IN were also living with the couple at the time of the 1880 census. · Louella & Stephen REDMON with Frank, Clarence, and Clark Grandma and Grandpa REDMON, Harnish Studio, Noblesville, IN, 1870s or 1880s, couple in their 20s or 30s, children 2-6 years old I find Stephen REDMAN the son of Nevil (or Neville) REDMAN living in Cicero, IN during the 1880 census. Nevil is 63 years old at the time, a widow, born in OH, A Drayman by trade whose parents were born in PA and OH respectively. His son Stephen is age 21, born in IN to OH born parents. Living with them is a daughter, Hannah REDMAN CURTIS age 28, and her two children, Nellie age 5, and Theodore N. age 2, both born in IN with their father's place of birth indicated as NY. Stephen D. REDMAN b. 25 Dec 1859 in Cicero, IN, married Ella JAYNE in the 1880's and died 21 Feb 1894. Stephen's mother was Margaret FENNELL. Stephen's son Clark REDMON was born 23 Jul 1888 and died in May 1978 in Hamilton Co., IN. The surname is spelled both REDMAN and REDMON through various documents. · Folded Envelope w/stamps and name Abraham LAUDIG, Arcadia, IN 1880 census of Jackson, IN included Abraham LAUDIG and his wife Victoria. Abraham was age 46, born in PA to PA born parents an Undertaker by trade. His wife Victoria was 35 years old, born in IN to parents born in PA and KY respectively. Living in their household at the time was a widow, Rebecca DICKOVER age 46 and her daughter, Bertha age 6. No relationship was indicated for the DICKOVER's. Records indicate that Abraham LAUDIG was b. 10 Aug 1833 and died 7 June 1898. · Lelia MURPHY, H. Emanuel is age 40, born in OH, a Teamster whose parents were both born in PA. His wife Charlotte was age 35, born in IN to OH born parents. Their children were, Harrie age 13, Orville age 12, Ida age 8, and Freddy age 1, all born in IN. · Unidentified Infant, A.J. Wilson Studio, Noblesville, IN 1880s, teens Social Security records indicate that Nellie GAY b. 5 March 1875 died in Hamilton Co., IN in February 1969. · Aunt Maggie & Family, Art M. Wilson Studio, Noblesville, IN, 1880s, parents in their 40s or 50s, w/5 children ages 4-16 years (boy, girl, girl, girl, boy) · Unidentified Male, J.H. Scotford Studio, Kansas City, MO, 1870s or 1880 s, young man in teens · Fairy, Orivil, and Dasey, O.A. Harnish Studio, Noblesville, IN, 1880s or 1890s, boy about 10, girls in teens I believe these are members of the HAWKINS Family including Orville b. 1884 in IN the son of George & Margaret A. HAWKINS. The 1880 census of Noblesville, IN included the family of George & Maggie HAWKINS and 3 of their children, Eddie age 11, Minnie age 7, and Daisy age 2. George was 33 years old at the time, a Restaurant Owner, born in IN to PA born parents. His wife Maggie was 31 years old, born in OH to parents both born in MD. · Jewel DICKOVER, Iva Roach Studio, Cicero, IN, 1880s, 3-4 years Jewel DICKOVER was born 2 May 1891 in Arcadia, IN the son of Benjamin Franklin DICKOVER and Fannie Adeline JAYNE. Jewel died 26 October 1945 in Utica, OH. · Newspaper clipping regarding death of child of Joseph LAUDIG of Clarksville, interment at Stony Creek cemetery Joseph B. LAUDIG was the son of Catharin LAUDIG who was a widow living in Noblesville, IN during the 1880 census along with 6 of her children. Catharin was age 42, born in IN to parents from OH and IN respectively. Her children included Mary H. age 21, Susan age 18, Nancy J. age 16, James A. age 14, Clara B. age 12, and Joseph age 10. All the children were born in IN. · Jewel, Lelia MURPHY, and Effie DICKOVER, Pike Studio, Arcadia, IN, 1880s, 4-12 years, boy youngest Lela DICKOVER b. 26 April 1881 in Atlanta, IN was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin DICKOVER and Fannie Adeline JAYNE, she died in 1955. Harnish Studio, Noblesville, IN, 1 Feb 1897, couple in their 20s, To Aunt Ella William "Will" MABEE was b. 1875 in IN, the son of Jacob L. MABEE and Rebecca DAVEE, he married Fairy HAWKINS on 17 June 1896 in Marion, IN. Fairy HAWKINS was born in 1882 in IN the daughter of George & Margaret A. HAWKINS. I'm hoping to locate someone from the family so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned to their rightful place with family.
