    1. [WATSON] James Watson Brick Wall
    2. Hi, I also have a James Watson brick wall. Deborah Mangen lists a ton of Watsons that ended up in Indiana, where mine did also. So, it is worth another try. James M. Watson was born about 1807 somewhere in PA, as was his wife Rebecca (?) born in about 1810. While there are at least three James Watsons in Indiana regiments in the War, (17th, 117th, and 79th) I have no proof any of these are mine. My James M. first pops up in Indianapolis, IN in the census of 1870, age 63, occupation "engine builder" (presumably railroad) living with Rebecca near son Elmer (wife Jennie Rose), a railroader. The other known child (Rebecca b. 1846) appears to have married Charles Calvert (b. 1841) Interestingly, while James M. was buried in huge Crown Hill cemetery in Indianapolis in 1886, there is no Rebecca buried there. However there are several other Watsons buried in the same lot and section: Ruth, 1906; Minnie, 1919; Martha J., 1927, and Charles C., 1935. This makes it probable but not certain that these Watsons were all related. The period between birth in PA and life in IN in 1870 leaves a large void of no information. Hopefully, someone will spot a link with one of theirs. Dick in Las Vegas
