Hi: I also have a brick wall and I've exhausted every resource I can find. According to the research I have, my great grandfather, William Henry WATSON, was born in MD in 1833, of a VA born father and a MD born mother, names unknown. According to a family story, he was born in England and he and his brother came over to the US as teenagers. I've found no proof of this, though. William served in the Navy for the North in the Civil War and his brother, possibly Thomas, fought for the South and settled in AL after the war. From the Civil War on I have found records, but none of them mention the names of his parents. He married Mary Ann CORCORAN in Baltimore, MD in 1860 and died in the Old Soldier's Home in Hampton, VA in 1903. Does any of this ring a bell? Mary Jean
