Dear Eric, My Watsons moved to Ohio just before the Civil War from Massachusetts, but they were always in Cincinnati in Hamilton Co. Abijah Watson and his wife Phebe Jones Sargent had three children with them when they moved. The oldest daughter, Sally, was from Abijah's first marriage. She married a Tom Riley and died a few months later. Abijah and Phebe had two children: Lavona and Charles Abijah (my great-grandfather). Lavona married a Hall and moved to AR. Charles lived there briefly with her family after his parents died in Cincinnati, then he came back to Cincinnati to attend law school. After his marriage to Catherine Ann Meagher, they moved to AR for a few years and then back to Cincinnati to establish their family. The only one of their children to live to adulthood was my grandmother: Lavona Ellen Watson (m1 Frank Howe Hover; m2 Norman B Mellor). At least if you come across any of these names in records, you'll know they aren't related directly to your Meigs Co. family.
