    1. [WATSON] Livia Jane Watson(1773-1845):Westmoreland Co. PA/Misc Early PA Watsons
    2. Hello List, My brick wall is Livia Jane WATSON born 1773 and died 1845 in Sewickley or N. Huntington Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA. She married Alexander McDONALD before 1804 in Westmoreland Co., PA. Allied Westmoreland Co., PA surnames of descendants include McDonald, McGrew, Wilson, Reed, Brown, and Wiley. One or more of the wives in these families were said to be Thawakila Shawnee from the villages nearby on the Youghiogheny River. It is possible that Livia Jane was Shawnee or perhaps of mixed blood. Some early PA ( No County Given)Watson marriages include: 18 Nov 1773 Watson, Isaac, and Elizabeth Ballard Nov 1746 Watson, Jane, and Patrick Willie 30 Jan 1761 Watson, John, and Eleanor Ball 9 May 1765 Watson, John, and Mary Carpenter 7 Jan 1761 Watson, John, and Patience Madlock 20 Aug 1762 Watson, John, and Rebecca Snodgrace 28 Jan 1768 Watson, Richard, and Elizabeth Hillings 23 July 1743 Watson, Thomas 2 Dec 1761 Watson, William, and Margaret Boggs 8 June 1767 Watson, William, and Patience Adam PA Archives, Series II, Vol. II I have no idea if any of these Watsons are my Livia Jane's parents. If anyone can rule any of these people out it would be helpful. The William Watson/Patience Adam marriage is particularly interesting to me as there are Adams families in Westmoreland Co. with known Shawnee ancestry. Watsons in W. PA Census: 1800 Robert and Matthew Watson: Westmoreland Co., PA(FN), pg.196.07 Joe Watson: Westmoreland Co., PA (AR), pg. 158.07 William Watson: Allegheny Co., PA (BP), pg. 56.01 Joseph Watson: Fayette Co., PA (FR), pg. ?
