My direct ancestor is Nathan M. Watson (1801-1880) who is buried in Corinth Cemetery, Marion County, GA. On WorldConnect, Edward Watson's entry in June 2004 states that Nathan is son of the minister, Anderson Watson, who died in Stewart Co, GA. My efforts to contact Ed Watson have been unsuccessful. Can anyone tell me what proof there is for Nathan to be the son of Anderson? Nathan Watson married first Lucy Roberts in Pike Co, GA 17 Dec 1823. (There is a grave in Corinth Cemetery for Lucy Watson with dates that fit but it is not very close to Nathan.) Nathan's second wife was Susan Hutchison (married 28 July 1846 Marion Co, GA) I have found a will for Anderson Watson, dated May 1839 (Wills Book A Stewart County, GA pg 29) in which he names his wife as Helen P. Watson and states his estate is to be divided equally among his children but does not name them. The quality of this will is very poor and there are lots of blanks in my transcription. I presume this is the minister but can find no record of a marriage for Anderson Watson and a "Helen." I would appreciate any help on this branch of the Watson Family. Barbara Powell Fincher
