I do not know about Major Watson, but I would be interested in the John Watson who is mentioned. I am searching for the father of Edward Watson, who was born in 1817. First-born son of Edward was John Watson, so I am guessing his father MAY be John Watson as well. Death in 1819 would be a good date for this family.
