    1. [WATSON] Lidia Watson
    2. Kifle Tesfamariam Tewelde
    3. I am researching the family of the above. Lydia Watson married Nathaniel Brewster on December 14, 1820 in Columbiana County Ohio. Lidia was born ca 1801 in Ohio. Their children were, Mary M. Watson, John, Nathan, Almon, Thomas C, Robert. I descend from Almon. Almon and his wife had a daughter Anne Mary - she was my great grandmother. Anne Mary was born in 1865 in Washington Co. Nebraska. Anne Mary had a twin sister Mary Anne. Mary Anne had a nick name of Siddy who married a W. M. Dulaney. If anyone has information on Lidia, I would appreciate corresponding, and sharing the information I have. Thank you Fern Stewart

    1. [WATSON] Watson Family - Ireland, Scotland, Connecticut
    2. Linda Emerson
    3. I am just beginning my search for information on the Watson family. This is all I have to begin with and am wondering if there is anyone reading who may recognize these names. The following information is from the ship's manifest dated 11/11/1909: Hannah Watson (b.1861, Armagh, Ireland) sailed with six children (Matilda, Isaac, Anna, Mary, Jane & Ruth) from Stevenston, Scotland to New York. All children are born in what looks like Killycomaine, Ireland. The manifest mentions an Abraham Watson living on Carment Drive in Stevenston. It also indicates that the family will reside with son & daughter, Thomas & Sarah Watson, 36 Laurel Street, So. Manchester, Connecticut. Any assistance in learning more about this family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! I am the founding director of the University of South Florida Africana Heritage Project. Our mission is to rediscover precious records documenting former slaves and to make those records available on a free, public access internet site. Our researchers travel far and wide to transcribe records from archives, libraries and county records, before these are lost to history. Our largest focus, however, is within the genealogical community. We recognize that the majority of the records that mention slaves have actually been discovered by folks researching their own ancestry. So many folks have these records, and wish to share them, and that is where our Africana Heritage Project comes in. Our goal is to be a central home on the internet for any and all records that document slaves. Our website, which will be hosted by Rootsweb (God Love 'Em), is now under construction, and we are accepting submissions from the genealogical community. We are seeking any records that document slaves anywhere in the United States. We cherish our contributors. Please let us hear from you at toniheadr@aol.com . God Bless! 1. [WATSON] Researching Claude Charles WATSON
    2. Nick Batley
    3. Hello to everyone, This is my first posting to this list. I am seeking information on a man named Claude Charles WATSON, who a second cousin of my grandfather. Claude Charles WATSON was born in Wellington, New Zealand in 1885, the son of Robert Eggers WATSON and Helen Evair GRAY. The WATSON family moved to Palmerston North in the mid 1890s. I have spent some considerable time (and my task is not finished yet !) tracking Claude Charles WATSON through the New Zealand electoral rolls, and it would appear that Claude Charles WATSON, a hairdresser by trade, worked his way slowly down from Palmerston North to Wellington. Between 1905 and 1954, Claude Charles WATSON is registered at the following addresses: 1905, 1908 Taonui St, Palmerston North 1914 Bowen street, Feilding 1919 Mangaweka 1922 Taihape 1925 Upper Hutt 1928, 1931 Murphy Street, Wellington 1935 Paraparaumu 1938, 1941 Aro Street, Wellington 1943, 1946 Elizabeth Street, Wellington 1946, 1949/51, 1954 Buller Street, Wellington Claude Charles WATSON appears to have married in 1910, and his wife's name appears to have been Phoebe Catherine (maiden surname unknown). Phoebe does not appear to have followed Claude to Wellington - they appear to have gone their seperate ways after 1922. Claude Charles WATSON died in 1965, in Wellington. I would love to hear from anybody researching the family of Claude Charles WATSON, or from anyone who may have known him in Wellington during the 1950s or 1960s. I would also love to hear from anyone who may be able to help identify the nature of the relationship between Claude Charles WATSON, and James and Fanny WATSON, with whom Claude lived, in Elizabeth Street, Wellington, during the early to mid 1940s. To the best of my knowledge, Claude did not have a brother, and from the evidence I have seen so far, I feel that James WATSON was too old to have been a son of Claude Charles WATSON, so I am very curious to find out if they were related, and how. Many thanks for your time and interest, and best wishes to everyone, Nick Batley Sydney, Australia ###################################################################### This e-mail message has been scanned and cleared by MailMarshal http://www.marshalsoftware.com ######################################################################
