Hi, Haven't posted in awhile; hoping this will "ring a bell" with someone on the list. I'm searching for info on brothers JAMES, WILLIAM and FLOYD WATSON. Reportedly came to Wilcox County, Alabama from GA about 1833-1840. Also supposedly had 3 or 4 sisters, names unknown. WILLIAM and FLOYD married McWHORTER sisters. The bought a tannery from an uncle of the sisters, DAVID WARDLAW, in Snow Hill, Alabama, and all 3 brothers worked doing shoemaking. Please let me know if you see a connection! First post to list! I'm looking for a James Watson who apparently signed a deed to a William Hereford of VA in 1799. James was apparently from Davidson Co, TN, but the deed is in Sumner Co. Does anyone have any information concerning William Watson from Brunswick, VA born after 1780 and died in Giles Co. TN after 1840? Does anyone have a connection to James Watson of Bertie County, North Carolina? He was there in the 1730's and 1740's. He witnessed some land transactions with a John Gray and a Thomas Whitmel.
