Does anyone have parents for Marjory Watson (b ca. 1617 d. 28 Aug 1660 Ipswich, MA) who married William Goodhue? Thanks, Janna
I am seeking more information on the J.S. Watson family of Butler Co. AL. I found him on the 1860 census listed as J.S. Watson and then on the 1870 census as James S. Watson. He was born 1824 somewhere in GA. His children were: Julia, William, Sarah, James, Toby, Gertrude, Mary, Robert or Roberta, and Hattie Does anyone on this list have anything in their files that even remotely resembles this family. Will be grateful for any help. Brenda Walters
Since there has been more activity on this Rootsweb that when I first sent my inquiry, am going to repeat. I am still stymied--AND I DO NEED HELP! My great grandfather was William Harvel Watson, born circa 1825, and who married Martha A. Richardson, born circa 1837. I found them listed on the 1870 District #3, Lancaster, County of Garrard, KY., Microfil #463, as follows: William H. Watson, age 45, Blacksmith Martha A., age 33 Laura J., age 14 Clara, age 11 William R., age 10 Samuel Harvel (my grandfather), age 7. (He was born 8/27/1863) Elizabeth, age 5 James B., age 3 John T., age 1 I didn't know they had so many children until I saw this census report. I just knew of three sons and one daughter, Clara, my great aunt. I tried to find this family in the 1880 census and couldn't find them, also, tried in the 1860, 1850, 1840, 1830, etc., and couldn't find them. I don't know where they came from or where they moved when they left Kentucky. The next time I can find Samuel, he is in the 1900 Kansas Census and then the 1910 Census. By this time he had married my grandmother Lida Ellen Chadd. Lida was in Iowa with her family of Daniel Chadd and Fannie Guilliams. Lida died 12/1/1900 and about 30 years of age. This is the one line of my family tree that remains a mystery to me. Please help as the clock is ticking. Thanks, Clara WATSON Elkins, Emporia, Kansas
I am looking for information on Simpson Watson, born in Fleming Co., KY. He is said to have married in Clermont Co. Ohio, but no record of his marriage can be found on the county records. In the year 1826 he owned land in Tate township, Clermont Co., Ohio but shortly after this date removed to Indiana and died there. He was married four times and was the father of 22 or 23 children. Thanks, Bill

There is a family group record for Jeremiah and Elizabeth who were married 9/7/1820 in Ripley Co., Indiana. see->F amilySearch Ancestral File Does anyone have information on their children? If they had a daughter named Nancy Watson born abt 4/26/1822 in Indiana, then I am part of this family line. I also think I made contact with someone who has a Benjamin Watson. Benjamin might be a brother to my Nancy and another child to Jeremiah and Elizabeth.
Angelea, Contact Tom Watson: [email protected] He is a Watson cousin of mine and lives in San Angelo, Texas. If there is a Watson Reunion I'm sure he would know. Diana

Looking for those researching the Watson family name of NC and SC. Here is what little we know about my wife's father. He was born as Orville/Arville Watson in Boone, NC. He married Bell Stamey of Bevard, NC. Orville lived in Richmond, VA; Boone and Hendersonville, NC; and Spartenburg and Landrum, SC. He died in Spartenburg in July 1971 and was buried nearby in Landrum. He had at least four siblings. One sister, Elly McMasters who lived in Crane, MO and Edder, NC. He had three brothers, Francis, Marvin, and Mannuel who lived in NC. Any information about these names is greatly appreciated. Larry __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Hello WATSON researchers, I'm still searching for the parents of my 3'rd gr grandmother Catherine WATSON. I believe she was born about 1773 probably in Caroline County, Md. I have a copy of her marriage record dated 1794 in Bourbon County, Ky. where she marr. Thomas ADAMS. The bond was signed by a Ralph ADAMS as being her guardian. Some other people who are also searching for Catherine's parents believe her mother was named Hester WATSON. Since she had a guardian when she got married I suspect her parents died before 1794. The Ralph ADAMS who was her guardian was probably related to this WATSON family. I have searched for a Ralph ADAMS marriage to a woman named WATSON but no luck with my search. At least 12 descendants have been searching for the parents & any related family of Catherine for the past few years. Any help would be appreciated by all of us. We are also looking for the parents & any family members for Thomas ADAMS. Thanks, Ed Jones New Palestine, In.
Another researcher mentioned a book "The Watson Family from Bond Co., IL". Does anyone have this book or know where I may be able to find it. I will be trying the library tomorrow. Thanks Angela

Hi! List! I don't know the answer to your Thomas Watson but do know that there is a Sumter, SC NW of Charleston. So, maybe that's where the deed was done! Z [email protected] wrote: > Part 1.1 Type: Internet E-Mail Message (message/rfc822) > > Part 1.2 Type: Internet E-Mail Message (message/rfc822)
Hi List, I'm brand new to the WATSON search.... hope someone here can help me. Thomas WATSON, born 1816. He always said he was born in Charleston, SC, but I've never found anything there... no trail or trace whatsoever. He could have been there, I just haven't found him. He could have been in AL, GA, LA according to family history. Even Mississippi..... According to family legend, he killed 2 men in Old Sumter (have no idea where it was), changed his name and fled to Texas.....again no solid proof, but my grandfather swore it happened and Thomas, his father had told him the story. I found Thomas in the Rankin County, MS 1850 census as Thomas Richardson. He ends up in Trinity County, TX in 1853, also as Thomas Richardson where he stayed, married, raised a family and died there in 1887 as Thomas Richardson. Does anyone have a "missing" Thomas Watson that could match this description? I sincerely appreciate any help at all. It's been a life-long search for some of my family members, now in their mid 70's.... I would just above give anything to get this solved for them! Amy Wood-McCroskie Denver, CO
