Does anyone have another George Washington Watson that served in the Civil War and died young? Only had 4 children: Sally, Anne, Alec, and William Franklin Watson. His spouse was Mary Elizabeth Tull. > Dear Kellie: Where was your gr-grandfather born and where did he die? That might help. Several Watson lines had a habit of using presidential names. I have at least one G. W. Watson in my family. I think the GW I have info on was born in TN, raised in Southern IL, went to Kansas, CA, and ended up in Yukon Co., OK. If this sounds familiar, contact me. Martha Canopy <[email protected]>

Hi Cousin Mike! This is wonderful!!! We do have a match! I would appreciate any info on Thomas Watson, Susan Sullivan, etc. ya have. I am a descendant of Jeptha P. Watson, Samuel's brother, as ya know. I am willing ta share any info I have with you, unfortunitly I don't have a lotta stories, but can give ya Jeptha's descendants, do ya need them? Also I would like ta compare our notes on Samuel's descendants. It is so nice ta finally find a cousin in this line. My Dad, Edsel Bruce Watson, Sr. (On his birth certificate it states Bruce Edsel Watson tho) started doing genealogy on our family about 15 years ago. We are so proud of all that he'd done, specially since he dropped outta school in the 8th grade ta help on the farm. And he didn't have a comp. His research was done by phone calls and snail mails. He typed up many genealogy style pages in a leather bound book, all by typewritter. It's getting late so I'll write again tmo with info, lemmie know what ya need. I'm also sending this ta my sister Becki, who did research for many years after Dad passed away. Hugs, Cousin Carol PS. I am Samuel's 3rd great-grand niece and Jeptha's 3rd great-granddaughter :) MIKE O'HEARN wrote: > Hello Cousin Carol! > > Bingo! Hi possible Watson Cousins! Jeff and Jeannie, we have been searching for a Thomas Watson, family tradition suggests he came from England between 1780-1819, but he could be from Ireland. We think ours married a Susannah O'Sullivan (Sullivan in the US, because Ireland made emmigrants change their surname when they came ta the states.) We only have record of 3 children, Matilda Vileta b. unknown, Jeptha P. b. 7-18-1819 in Bath Co., Ky. and Samuel Redd DeKalb b. July 1835. Now Bath Co was est. in 1811 from Montgomery Co. was est. 1797 from Clark Co. was est. 1793 from Bourbon Co. and Fayette Co. (Talk about the chain of counties...) Ed, we don't have a Catherine Watson, but it could be cause we're not that far back on our Watson line yet. Any links?
