I recently discovered that some of my Carrick Beg, Carrick-on-Suir ancestors, were not born in Tipperary, as I had believed. The 1909 Censusof Carrick-on-Suir, Tipperary revealed that my Grandmother Margaret MAHER Thompson, who resided on Rackhill Road, was born in Waterford abt 1884; along with Thomas MAHER abt 1874; Edmond Maher; and Patrick MAHER Abt 1887. This leads me to believe that my great grandparents John MAHER and Margaret BRITT may also have been born in Waterford, as I have not found anyhing in Tipperary about them.
