To-day is the 101st anniversary of the birth of my late father. I thought that a remembrance posting on this day might bring results. Name: Henry (Harry) Power Date of birth: Sunday, 5th January 1902 Place of birth: Glen Terrace, Waterford City, Ireland Parents: William Power and his wife, Mary Ellen (nee Power) Baptism: Thursday 9th January 1902 at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Waterford. Sponsors at baptism: Michael Fanning and Margaret Power (my father's eldest sister) School: My late father attended St Stephen's Monastery National School [De La Salle brothers], Stephen Street, Waterford. Work: My father worked for Woodman Matheson & Co Ltd in Waterford, Cork Dublin, and then back to Waterford as Manager in 1936. Death: Henry (Harry) Power died on Monday 10th February 1947.
