Looking for any information on (or relatives of) any of the following: Amelia Winifred DUGGAN (b. 22 May 1857 in Tramore, d. 2 Dec 1940 in Chicago, IL) dau. of James DUGGAN (b. 1815, d. 11 Mar 1883; son of Michael & Mary DUGGAN) and Mary Amelia SYNNOTT ( b. 16 Aug 1819, d. 6 Jun 1898; dau. of Sean & Mary SYNNOTT; previously married to ____ LANGMAID) Amelia DUGGAN emigrated to Chicago, IL, where she married James Grant POWER (b.28 Dec 1856 in Piltown, Kilkenny; d. 1915 in Chicago; son of Michael POWER & Mary GRANT) in Sacred Heart Church in 1879. They had 17 children. Michael POWER was son of Patrick POWER (b. 1799) & Sheila MOORE. Mary GRANT (b. 21 Sep 1826)was dau. of Thomas GRANT & Honora KEEFE. Does anyone know where the SYNNOTT, GRANT, MOORE, and KEEFE families might have been living? I am new to research in Ireland and so would appreciate any tips on resources available to researchers there — especially since crucial church records in Tramore were burnt (groan).
