Hi Joan, I am fortunate that my great uncle Louis Anthony Kennedy wrote our family history down. At least to the best of his knowledge. I'm also lucky that these Wexford Kennedy's emigrated (or half of them) to Newfoundland which as an island of small communities facilitates research. Different than the Irish which deluged Boston and Ellis Island in the late 1800s it has been easier to track my ancestors in Newfoundland. Have you got this Michael Kennedy and Mary Healey connected to Waterford? Also if you know he was more than 140 years older than you..what is the birth year approx.? Also The names of his sons ( they might offer a clue to Michael's fathers and brothers names) Any idea on his occupation or whether he married in CT or Ire. WWW.CELTICCOUSINS.COM has some good info..even if you just plug in their last names you might come up with a record. They usually had like 10 children and while many of the sisters get lost there are always a couple of brothers that can be linked up. There are just so many of them~\ Just discoved "CORK SETTLEMENT" in New Brunswick with another bunch of Kennedy's some of which went to Maine, given the proximity. Sorry list, here we are posting about Kennedy's in US on the Waterford list. When mine were from Wexford. Maybe we should move this to the KENNEDY list Joanne
