Very interested in these Surnames. It seems they were merchants in Waterford, Wexford and Southern Tipperary. I know these two families the Sweetmans and the Saunders along with the Powers were responsible for bringing over many Irish to settle in Newfoundland circa 1800. Anyone else have more info?
