I recently received the death certificate for my g-grandmother Ellen Doyle. Her maiden name was Ellen Murphy. Her death certificate shows that her father was MICHAEL MURPHY and her mother was MARGARET EVOY. It does not say what part of Ireland they were from but, because daughter Ellen Murphy immigrated to America, she shows up on the Federal Census which states that she immigrated from "Ireland Free Nation". Ellen Murphy was born December 8th 1852 in Ireland. This would mean that MARGARET EVOY and MICHAEL MURPHY would have been married no later than March 1852. They were probably born between 1820 and 1830. I am sending this request for help to the Wexford list because, through a lot of searching, I found EVOY surnames in Wexford.
