    3. Mick, Thanks for the info. Where did Ellen O'Gorman and Patrick Nugent live? My gf was Daniel Carthage O'Gorman b. 1908 to Mary McCarthy and Michael O'Gorman Cappaquin , Lismore Waterford. (Carrignagour) My gf's brother Maurice stayed and his family, a Michael O'Gorman still lives on the family land. My aunts were there this past summer and met their O'Gorman first cousins for the first time. I am just now going through my O'Gorman file and have something 'newsletter'called "The Dunwoodian" Nov. 1934 (I think it's a seminary in NYC??) It has a story about FIRST NY PRIESTS ...article says "It is remembered that Bishop Connolly was consecrated Bishop of New York, in Rome, November 1814. En route to his diocese he visited Ireland to seek priests to accompany him. At Kilkenny College he secured Rev. Mr. Michael O'Gorman whom he ordained and brought with him. They arrived in November 1815.......The last years of Bishop Connolly's life were filled with crosses. His trustees were in rebellion;his financial worries were extreme, and in November 1824, within eight days, his faithful priests and firends Fathers O'Gorman and Richard Bulger died. They were buried at the entrance to the Cathedral ("Old St. Patrick's NYC")." article cites Bishop Bayley's "History of the Catholic Church in New York"published 1853 Perhaps, this Father Michael O'Gorman (d1824) is an uncle to this Kilkenny O'GORMAN group in your tree. Perhaps he is a common ancestor to us both. My gm Josephine Prendergast of Lismore who married Daniel O'Gorman of Carrignagour, Lismore saved this "Dunwoodian" newsletter as the front page had a photo of the schools Jubilee Class 1909 in which her Uncle Thomas F. PRENDERGAST is pictured. Thanks for "REFINDING" your O'Gorman tree...I will dig around for anything else of interest. Joanne Mick wrote: Recently I found (re-found!) an O'Gorman family tree written up by my greataunt. The first generation are as follows.
