Hello, Searching for any info regarding the HAMILTON Family, have found them on the 1821 Census in the Parish of St.Patrick. Husband John, wife Hanna, sons Otho and John. Otho was a music teacher, and was the early tutor of William Vincent Wallace. The Hamilton's were involved in piano tuning and music instrument making, I have found reference to them in trade directories address's given are Stephen St, Bereford St. Hennessy's Rd, Lombard St, Castle St Terrace and Parade Quay, the listings range from 1824 to 1909. I have found 1 entry for Otho in Griffiths Name Authority, address Bailey's New St, Trinity Within and 2 entries for John HAMILTON Lombard St and Blackpool Dungarvan. I also have George HAMILTON born about 1844 married to Ellen FITZ-HENRY, I am trying to find any record of his or Ellen's birth, death, marriage or burial, I only know that George married Ellen as I have a baptism certificate for their son William in the Parish of St.Patrick. William was my Grandfather, he married Mary CULLINANE, I have had no luck finding out anything about Mary, I know she died shortly after my father was born in 1912. I have searched LDS and Ancestry.co.uk, I am currently trawling through the film 0100158 at the FHL but as yet have found nothing, any help or suggestions would be most welcome.
