I have some GEARYs that ended migrated from Portlaw to Fall River. Don't know if this information is useful or not but here goes... Honora GRADY (daughter of Patrick GRADY and Brigid FOLEY) m. Thomas GEARY, 30 Jan. 1863, Portlaw, Co. Waterford They had the following children born in Portlaw: Walter A. (b. 18 Dec. 1863,d. 7 Aug. 1887 in Fall River) Margaret M. (b. 25 Dec. 1864, d. 27 Sep. 1885 in Fall River) Brigid M. (b. 15 Mar. 1868, d. 13 Nov. 1943 in Fall River) Patrick "John" (b. ca 7 Aug 1870, d. 4 Sep 1891 in Fall River) John L. (b. 10 Feb 1872, d. 22 Oct. 1960 in Massachusetts - married but no children) Thomas F. (b. ca. 22 Apr. 1874, d. 12 Jul. 1938 in Massachusetts) After they married, it appears that Thomas and Honora lived with her parents and siblings in Portlaw. All of her siblings had emigrated by the time her father Patrick GRADY died in 1876. Her mother emigrated shortly after his death. At that point it appears that the GEARY family moved to Carlow. Michael A. (b. Baganelstown, Co. Carlow 24 Sep. 1877, d. April 1965 in Massachusetts) - believe he married but haven't found marriage record - son Francis ended up living with his grandmother Honora) Mary (b. ca. Dec 1879, Ireland - haven't found birth record, d. 29 Mar. 1881, Fall River) Jeremiah J. (b. 19 Nov. 1881 in Fall River, d. May 1966, Brookline, Massachusetts) - married, five children Figure the family had emigrated by March 1881 but most likely after the time of the 1880 census as they aren't to be found in Fall River for the census - can tell from comments in city directories that Thomas GEARY died somewhere from 1885-1887 but I haven't been able to find a death record for him in Massachusetts or Ireland.
