The townland of Garranbaun (as spelled in the original Townland Listings, as well as on current maps) is essentially an 'appendage' to the much larger portion of Kilgobnet civil parish, and it has had an RC church there for some time (St. Vincent de Paul)......... so I'm in agreement that Garranbane and Garranbaun are the same townland.
