It's a block-like-shaped townland (sort of like France, or Bolivia) which lies on both sides of the R 682, which in turn runs from Tramore up to the N 25 road. The townland has a few small canals within it, connecting to a stream - so there may have been some boggy land there at one time. But, basically, the townland is gentle, rolling country. There were 15 to 20 buildings in the townland (as of 30 years ago) as well as Cullen Castle. Cullen Castle (more properly, a "tower house") ruin is "shrouded in mystery" <gr>, which means that there are no historical references to it - prior to the Down Survey of about 1650, where the castle is recorded. In 1640, the land was owned by Francis Bryver of Waterford. Tower houses do not generally appear in Ireland until the 15th century. That's about all I have.
