One of my 3xgt grfthrs was a James BUDD. Rather second-hand evidence has it that he was an estate owner of Tranmore, Co. Waterford, and was a Justice of the Peace. His very approx year range would be c.1775-1840. My knowledge of Waterford geography is very weak and I should be most grateful if anyone could advise me if Tranmore is a recognised place; or should it really be Tramore? If the information about him is correct, there should be documentary sources referring to him. Any suggestions of possible sources would be enormously helpful. Phil Down, Chichester, England.
