Hi everyone, I am searching for details of Patrick POWER born 1831 Dungarvan, Waterford. He is *thought* to have married Bridget probably 1850's and is known to have (at least) 3 children - Edward b:1856-8, Richard and Thomas. Patrick and family left Ireland because of the famine. Landing in Liverpool, they worked their way down through Manchester to Dowlais in Glamorgan. Patrick is listed in the UK 1881 census as a 50yr old sailor in Cardiff, and in the 1891 census as a 60yr old waterman in Dowlais, Glamorgan. Edward married Mary DALTON (also born Ireland) in Hulme, Manchester 1879. They eventually settled in Dowlais as well.
