    3. As an American I am trying to read up on Irish history/culture/customs - to help my research. If anyone can help me with answers to the following questions, I would greatly appreciate it. Three questions 1. If 7 minor children in a Catholic family were orphaned in 1900 in Waterford County (Lismore/Cappoquin/Kiely's Crossing area), would there be formal custody proceedings before being sent to live with various relatives? If so, where would these records be? In a court of some kind? 2. In 1900-1910 was it rare or common to send girls to Darlington, England to attend boarding school? Probably a secondary or "finishing" school - learned academic subjects, plus piano. 3. The few clues I have make me think that there might possibly have been a little money left to these 7 children. Would a will from 1900 (from the same Lismore/Cappoquin/Kiely's Crossing area) be available somewhere? My reading/research makes me think that it might have been lost in 1922. If the will survived, where might it be found? Thanking you in advance. Maxine Driscoll
