Our line originates in Clashmore, Waterford just before 1800. John Connell (b ca. 1775) Michael Connell (1800-1870) and Ellen Hayes Michael Connell (1839-1897) and Mary Neville Michael John Connell (b 1874) who moved to Youghal in the 1890s. I have quite extensive information on this family, and the related surnames, in Clashmore. Many of the offspring of Michael Connell and Mary Neville emigrated to the USA and settled in Hartford, CT from the 1880s onward. Related emigree families from Waterford/Cork for whom I have details include Lynch, Colbert and Burns.
