Hi Jane Crawford ! When the Waterford records go on line, I will be looking for a Michael O'Sullivan, b. circa 1820, to Jeremiah H. Sullivan and Mary (maiden name unk.) I thought this family originated from Cahersiveen, County Kerry; however, I did find a US Army enlistment document for Michael wherein he identified his place of birth as Waterford, IRELAND.... So I am hoping to find both he and his sibling's baptismal records in the Waterford collection... Anyway, I was wondering what some of the nick names were for O'Sullivan/Sullivan from Waterford. The Ryan's, The O'Dwyer's and the O'Sullivan's used nicknames for sure, and some other septs may have done so as well. I have a list of several hundred Ryan nicknames with the place they were used cross-referenced. If you don't know where your Ryan's were from but do know the nickname they used, you can find the place for about half so far.
