    1. [WATERFORD] clarification please
    2. Fred Waring
    3. I was very excited to find on the rootsireland site the birth of Anastasia Connery in 1820. I was hoping to find a birthplace.also. But the record indicates her birth parish/district was St Mary's Clonmel in county Waterford. The civil parish of St Mary's Clonmel is in South Tipperary But the catholic diocese is in Waterford. any idea /suggestions of how to proceed to get a clearer notion of birthplace.

    3. Fred, All I have on St. Mary's Clonmel is this: Prior to 1836 the present SS. Peter and Paul's formed part of the old parish of St. Mary's, which embraced not only the town of Clonmel but a considerable country district in the counties of Tipperary and Waterford. When that extensive parish was divided into two, one division retained the mother-church and the ancient name, whilst the other received the name, SS. Peter and Paul's, and obtained possession of a church which had been built in 1810, as an auxiliary to St. Mary's Janet On Mon, Oct 10, 2011 at 7:29 PM, Fred Waring <fred.waring@verizon.net> wrote: > I was very excited to find on the rootsireland site the birth of  Anastasia Connery in 1820. > > I was hoping to find a birthplace.also.  But the record indicates her birth  parish/district was St Mary's Clonmel in county Waterford.
