Hi Janet & others, There is a slight misunderstanding in that the diocese does not receive any money via the heritage centers. The archbishop set it up this way in order to provide jobs for unemployed people through the old FAS program. It was intended to train many people for jobs in the use of computers, office procedures, etc., but has not worked out quite that way. It does employ 1-2 people in each center and that is that. We can all pray that things will change when this AB retires and we can be on an equal footing with the rest of Ireland. Janet
Sept. 30th has come and gone; still no records on line. Anyone have a status? Hi Janet; Please let me know what is done to "snip" messages and checking subject. Do you mean subject moved forward such as this is now a message about snipping so I can still hit reply but change the subject line entirely? Also, do you mean cut and paste by snipping? And do you know where the Waterford records will be online? It was my understanding it would be at Rootsireland.ie. Thank you, Janet ________________________________ From: Janet Crawford <reojan@gmail.com> To: waterford@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, October 2, 2011 12:18 AM Subject: [WATERFORD] Waterford records on-line Hi Janet & others, There is a slight misunderstanding in that the diocese does not receive any money via the heritage centers.
