Dalton - Any chance that Dennis Sullivan had a brother John J. who married Statia/Misha Walsh/Welch? John J. & Statia/Misha had 5 children: Mary Ellen (c. 1864) who emigrated to the USA (c. 1880/1882) and worked as a maid in upstate NY before marrying Edmund Pyne (also from Kilmacthomas) in 1885 and settling in Worcester, MA; John; Michael; James & Richard. Trying to locate them is like finding the proverbial needle!! >From Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford my Dennis Sullivan and wife Catherine Flynn entered the U.S. at New Orleans in 1847, traveled to Galena,Illinois/Benton, Lafayette Co, Wisconsin, then on to Hillsborough, WI. where they farmed trough 1930. Could a branch associated with my family, the Sullivan/Flynn, Sheas, have gone to Kentucky? Possible, but there are many with like Irish names. It is also interesting that Many Irish entered U,S. trough New Orleans, and Texas, about 1847. Dalton O'Sullivan San Francisco, CA
