    1. Re: [WATERFORD] Lissarow
    2. Robyn asks: === I was wondering if there is anyone on the list that knows Lissarow - is it a village or just a large house/estate. === Robyn, Lissarow is a townland, split between the adjacent civil parishes of Ardmore and Ballymacart. The combined area of Lissarow is a bit over 300 acres, and stretches between 3 and 4 miles NNE of the small town of Ardmore - which is at the southernmost tip of Waterford county. It appears that about half of the buildings in the combined townlands lie along the R 673 regional north-south road, and most of the other buildings are spread along two minor side-roads. As of 1995, aerial photography showed about 25 to 30 buildings in the combined townlands. I have not been able to find a large house or estate in the townlands, and none are listed in the Architectural Heritage survey of Ireland. Pete ....................................................
