Has anyone come across information on a Kate/Catherine WADDY? Her birth date is unknown - probably between 1860 and 1875. She states on her marriage record, and on the 1901 Dublin census, that she was born in Wexford. Ireland's civil birth records have been searched more than once and her birth can not be found. Her father's name was Luke WADDY and he was a harness maker. Her mother is unknown - BUT, a Luke WADDY, harness maker, married a Mary ROCHE. This Mary ROCHE died in 1871. Contacts state she was 18 years older than Luke, which would make Mary's birth around 1806. She would have been too old to be the mother of the Kate/Catherine WADDY I am looking for. This Luke WADDY was born about 1824, therefore, he very well could have been Kate/Catherine WADDY's father. During the 1890's Kate/Catherine WADDY was employed as a nanny in Waterford.
