    3. I have Flynns in the Murphy line. On the 1911 census, a William Flynn was living with the Edmund Murphy home as a farm servant, age 19, putting his b/d in 1892. I know nothing more of him. Also in 1935 a Mary Flynn was witness to my gr.mothers death. In 1888, Gerald and Brigid Flynn were witnesses to my Aunt Minnie(Mary) baptism. Patrick Flynn was witness to my gr.parents marriage 1878 in Ballinameela, County Waterford. My gr.mother was Catherine (kate) Power Murphy. There must be a connection somewhere! 3. With hope that you wii find some tie to the Flynn's: My great, great grandmother Catherine Flynn (born 1817) came to Allihies. County Cork from County Waterford with her sister Mary and husband James Shea (a son, Jeremiah, was born to Mary in 1834) to work in the Allihies Copper mine. Catherine married my gggrandfather, Dennis Sullivan (born in 1815) 31 Aug 1834 by Fr. J. Divine at Cahermore Catholic Church, Kerry Diocese. In 1835 Denis and Catherine left Allihies to work in Knockmahon/Bunmahon copper mines in County Waterford and to have their children near Catherine's family, the Flynn's. Children were all baptized in Kill Parish: John (B 1838), Mary E (B 1836), Margaret (B 4/25/1841) Witness Patrick Flynn. Father? James Patrick (B 6/21/43) and Denis (B 3/15/1844) died as baby. They left their home in Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford for USA in 1847. Hope this might help with your tree I wish I knew more about the Flynn family, its members and where exactly they lived in Waterford. The Only name I have is Patrick Flynn who might be Catherine Flynn's father. If any of you out there has something that might tie to the above I'd sure appreciate it. 2. In Kentucky, I have Flynn's, Sullivans, Powers, and Shea's living within a few miles of each other in 1860. Also have land transactions between Shea's and Flynn's. Sure seems like these two sets of families could well be related. Anyone with possibile connection, information, interest...my direct email is KMohrmann@aol.com. -----Original Message----- From: Dalton O'Sullivan <djos2@earthlink.net> To: waterford@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, Sep 3, 2010 8:16 pm Subject: Re: [WATERFORD] FLYNN FAMILY With hope that you wii find some tie to the Flynn's: My great, great grandmother Catherine Flynn (born 1817) came to Allihies. ounty Cork from County Waterford with her sister Mary and husband James hea (a son, Jeremiah, was born to Mary in 1834) to work in the Allihies opper mine.
